It is how a person feels while browsing and interfacing with a system. This includes a website, web application, desktop software, and basically any form of human/device interaction.

It is considered to be very crucial because it focuses on fulfilling the user’s needs. Its primary objective is to provide positive experiences that keep users loyal to the product or brand. In addition, it allows visitors to define customer journeys on your website that are directly related to business success and the generation of sales on a maximum level. The only way to define a great experience is by knowing your customers by getting in touch with them, talking to them and watching them use your product, getting inside their heads, and asking yourself questions about their decisions. Here are some of the tips to enhance UX:

  • You can create a user persona, which is a semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer based on market research and data on your existing audience. After you create a user persona, you will be able to dive into your site’s analytics and other customer data while also conducting internal and external interviews and surveys.
  • Some of the common traits that you need to consider while creating a user persona are demographics (age, location, familial status, career), personality (introvert, extrovert, creative, etc), and motivations (fear, incentivization, power, etc).
  • Another important factor is interface testing because when you are building a user interface, the more data you can collect, the better. To make your interface testing stronger, you can optimize your website. With optimization, you have the power to split your website impressions into two groups and show each of these groups a different version of pages on your site. Once you have a statistically significant sample size, you can see which version is outperforming the other and make changes accordingly.
  • You need to analyse the people in your target audience while conducting surveys about their experience, as your own peer group may interact with the website differently than the people you want to reach. Work on the feedback received and modify accordingly.
